Removing Baffles.

#1 Unread post by Maleficent1 »

I have a set of Shogun Warlord cannons on my VT1100. I can see the baffles in there and it looks like they are just held in by allen bolts under each pipe. I removed the bolts and tried to remove the baffles to no avail. Does anyone have any tricks on how to remove them?

That's the method of debaffling the stock pipes on the C50. Aftermarket pipes are debaffled by removing an allen screw.

Your baffles are probably just stuck. Try squirting some penetrating oil around the edges and let it sit over night.

on my suzuki marauder i just had to twist the ends of the baffles with a crescent wrench then they came right out. they also had the bolt holding them in. but these were on cobra aftermarket pipes. hope that helps anyway.
