Either that, or the driver was going through an intersection where a light just turned green, while fiddling with the stereo controls...

I've seen this one a few times lately. Apparently he's a tele-novela star (Mexican Soap Opera) shooting a commercial without having the appropriate permits and safety crew following behind. It was a "spur of the moment" thing. Well... the only problem with that is this: there are other drivers going about their business (bidness, if you prefer) while these guys are trying to do some "action" shots. The person that hit the group was drunk. He never even saw the bikes... in fact, he was likely distracted by the bright lighting on the back of the film truck and never even saw the motorcycles. If you watch the video, the car doesn't even stop until it's hit several bikes.

It sucks to watch. And goes to prove that the majority of cagers shouldn't be behind the wheel...

Drunk drivers are the one thing in this world I truly hate. That pisses me off just to watch. The driver should be shot.

The main actor, Edgar Ponce died from this. The dude supposedly wasn't drunk and was arrested for involuntary homicide and released on the equivalent of $27,000 bail. The article I ready also said that they didn't have filming permits and that particular highway only allowed motorcycles on the edges of the lanes or something. I don't know how much of this is fact, though.
