I'm not sure who all those people are. I do know that Bill Gates and Donald Trump didn't work hard to get rich.

Bill Gates was handed his fortune by the stupidity of IBM. If IBM kept his work/research they would have been microsoft instead.

Donald Trump inhereted his real estate business from his father.

To Gummiente - Oprah I'll agree. I wouldn't have thought of her.

Maybe you're too young to know how business works in America. I can assure you that the more power & money one accumulates. The less work they will do.

Again Bill Gates & Donald Trump don't impress me at all.

The stories that do impress me are the ones like that of US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Look into his life story sometime.

Heh - he has had an interesting career but I don't really find him to be admirable. The American Bar Association couldn't agree he was qualified, despite all other candidates being totally endorsed. Meanwhile Thomas is all anti affirmative action while playing up "preserving the existing racial balance of the court" - so its OK for him but not others.

Then the Anita Hill debaucle. Between the judiciary committee not fully investigating it, to him turning it into a race debate - the whole situation is ridiculous. Meanwhile the happy hypocrit serves in the highest court in our country.

So now, not only have we gone from fact and reality to emotion and jealousy, we have to pull the "Your too young" stuff.

I happen to be a buisness owner and I am fully aware of the story of Clarence Thomas. And yet you still seem to want to focus on things unrelated to my point.

How many hours a week do you think think the Bill Gates and Donald Trumps of the world spend at work on average over their careers. I guarentee that average is MUCH higher than yours assuming your not also a buisness owner.

You can deny based on jealousy all day long, but the fact STILL remains that a successfull company is not lead by someone who hasn't put in an absolute TON of work.

I'm sure Gates does alot of work. He may not be writing code or putting together CPUs but making huge decisions for a multi-million dollar company is alot of work.

Actually...didnt he retire? So I guess now he doesn't do anything

I wonder what his kids do for a living though?

Oh those poor things. Only 1 million for doing absolutely nothing?

Hopefully he raised those kids right...otherwise they will probably end up fighting it in court for 10 years to get ahold of the rest of the dough. And it will all go to the lawyers.

What was the name of the company recently that the kids fought over the inheritence money, millions of dollars, and when they were done the lawyers had everything and the kids had nothing? Serves em right.
