I don't know if any of you go to motorcycle.com so here's an article calling for the ousting of the GSXR 1300 from public roads. Maybe All bikes that are high horsepower.

It's the topic in bold titled "Sayonara, Hayabusa"
Time to weigh in and have a reasonable discussion.

One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.

I think the bike is a bit overkill for the road but I don't want them banned from the roadways either. Give them that power and next thing all bikes will go bye bye because they're "safety hazards." Yes, there are some stupid people on them, but thankfully we live in a country where some people have the right to be stupid...not everyone who rides one is a SQUID though...

Makes no odds. Theres a group of pictures of a car that was t-boned by a bike doing excessive speed. There were no survivors from either vehicle.GrandGT wrote:if i were driving my sedan, i would much rather get hit by-a-busa going 100mph then by one of the monster SUVs or 2-ton trucks going 60. if a fast bike is a dangerous vehicle, then so is every SUV out there.

I've said this before..
Allow people to buy whatever they want.. but the penalties for using it in a highly unsafe manner should be severe.
Get caught doing 130 mph on a Hayabusa? You're done. Lose your license and your bike. Do it again? Jail.
