For the record British forces are still serving in Northen Ireland, the Former Yugoslavian Republics, Afganistan, Iraq and half a dozen of the worlds other armpits. Our forces are offically undermanned for their offical mission statements and we are still talking about supporting American forces in the next place war is declared (has George Bush Jnr decided on North Korea or Iran yet?)

Latest news from the UN is that a UN peacekeeping force led by the French, not the USofA, will be moving into the Lebonan because of the severity of the fighting between Hizbullah and Israel.

Apologies to any US service personnel who take offense. I don't wish harm on any service personnel but at this moment in time there are Service Personnel all round the planet putting themselves in harms way and I think this message is something that is getting lost.

So anyway sit down and shut the "fudge" up until you are old enough to have an opinion.

I have this issue of Bike and went up the wall.

There is a dozen or so wars being fought. Several humanitarian aid crisis not to mention some serious environemtal problems that need work and this is the best thing they can find to do?

This, its just politics. The EU tried something along the same lines about 20 years ago. The BMF, bless them, actually rigged a BMW up with enough exhaust boxes to bring it down to 'acceptable' levels. The boxes piled on the rear seat were talled than the rider of the bike.

The UN, like the EU should be concentrating on the serious problems in the world before getting down to this kind of thing. If I drop my bike bending the footpegs, handlebars and craking the fairing you can be sure I'll replace/mend the footpegs and handlebars before I think about the fairings.

From what I've seen, the oil prices have still gone up since the last, so his war coffers must be a little light. I expect luxembourg or maybe switzerland to be next, to fill them back up again.

As regards the bikes: Yes they can be loud, but how much time per day are you hearing them for as they pass? I'd rather see hefty mufflers on stereo systems instead
