Ya did the right thing by walking away. Sounds like neighborhood punks. Hard to know how to react to that. On the one hand you want let them know they can't push you around, but on the other, you don't want them and their a$$clown friends screwing with you or your belongings/property. Society would be better off with clowns like those roaming the world .
Don't let those other posters tell you the problem is yours. It's not. They were starting the trouble. Knowingly parking there like the did blocking your bike was clearly intentional and they were looking to start something. If they live in your neighborhood they may have recognized your bike and thought they could push you around.

A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

Wow, if only you had your nunchucks and katana you could have slashed her tires and did a backflip onto the hood and slayed him with a few ninja stars and whacked out the headlights with your chucks. Then set up your camera and pose. But I jest.
People like that irritate me, too...they have no regard for other people, used to being bullied and bullying others, and the girl probably is used to big guys doing whatever she wants on her random selfish whims, paid for in full by sleeping with the whole gang on request.
But really is it worth it? I would have just shaken my head and ignored them. You just don't know what people are willing to do. Get them mad enough (especially when they are in a car) and they could do anything, including pull a gun on you.
There are times to stick to your guns, like when the local Quickie-Mart tries to overcharge you for your Red Bull...but starting physical fights with illmannered oblivious people (who sound relatively uneducated by your quotes) is not one of them. Sometimes its best to simply swallow your pride and move on...and you'll be better for it.

jesus man relax. People are dicks. just be happy that they will be begging for quarters or dead in a few years. I wouldnt have taken any $#!T either but weapons are another thing. unless you are going to use them leave the weapons at home. I guess that them living in your neighbourhood sucks.

Something similar happened to me once, but I just pulled out my phone and said "Hey guys, I have the police on the line, you should start thinking about your side of the story"... they left. I laughed.

I have had similar incidents, not involving a bike, but where someone was in the wrong and still tried to "f" with me. Words are the sharpest weapons because they are perfectly legal and they are the ones who will lose that battle.

Nah jfeaz, you're wrong. NY is a truly a great place. It's just that here, you can't underestimate people's willingness to exercise their ignorance.
JCV...sounds like you have a little chip on your shoulder bro...maybe a little inferiority complex mithingy goin' on... defensive. More often than I like, when parking my bike on the street in the city, I've had my bike wedged so tightly between other bikes that their mirrors were literally millimeters from my tank. I couldn't even get a leg over...Now, should I have kicked the offending bike over so I could get out? YES!!! Just kidding!!! hahaha...of course not, I just eased my bike out of the spot and chalked it up to parking in the city.
The same way you'll have to chalk your situation up to "people can be idiots at times" ...and not take it personally. Besides...smile, you're on a bike
EDIT: Being a martial arts practitioner myself, I honestly have no problem walking away and maintaining my composure...The one thing I don't allow tho is another individual to 'put their hands on me'. That's assault in just about anyone's book. All I can say to that is "a man with a broken leg ceases to be a threat."

No, he doesn't.SuperRookie wrote:All I can say to that is "a man with a broken leg ceases to be a threat."
Not when he or his friends know who you are. Or his friends are within earshot. Or he has a long-range weapon, like, say, a handgun.
