I usualy have an answer but this is driving me crazy

I am usualy pretty good with diagnostics but I am going out of my mind at the moment. My bike had some issues with vacume leaks so I replaces the O-rings around the intakes. I checked for vacume leaks around the carb boots and found nothing. If the bike is sitting up straight in neutral or in gear with the clutch pulled in the engine will rev to 3000 rpm (this is with the idle screw backed off) But if I lean the bike to the Left It will come back down to about 1200 rpm in a few seconds and stay there if i dont straighten the bike out. The only thing I can think of is a fuel delivery problem to the left carb. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

have you had your carbs synchronized?

if you haven't, this could be the problem. If you don't want to take it to a shop to have it done, Motion Pro makes a few different carb synch tools in various price ranges, with the cheapest being the tube and mercury type (not sure what the actual term for these are off the top of my head). They have instructions with them on how to set them up, and your shop manual (you do have one, don't you?) will also detail the procedure. The whole process should only take about 30-50 minutes to do.

I know that it has been a while but I finaly got sick and tired of my bike running like crap. Finished work adn pulled teh carbs off in the shop, I hear this rattle when I take them off, this is strange so i give them another shake, sure enought it is rattling in one of the float bowls. Take the float bowl off to find that my mainjet on cylinder #4 had fallen out! You heard correct it had come loose and fallen out so there was no fuel metering on that cylinder and since my bike uses wasted spark for the ignition plugs 1 and 4 were fouled. Got everything back togeather did a tuneup, changed my valve cover gasket and bead blasted the valve cover ( very nice look BTW and easy to clean ) cut down my muffler about 4 inches and even gave it a quick wash.

Now the bike runs mint, It has never ran this good since I bought it about 3 months ago, Tonnes of power, before I could only do about 160 kph and the bike was struggling and now 210 kph + no prob. I rode teh hell out of it and filled up twice today, I am tired and going to sleep
