Thanks for the welcome Sunshine. I think I found a great new hobby.

All I need is a little help picking the right motorcycle. I love the look of the off-road ones, I love how sporty they look. But I know I will be driving mine on paved roads for the most part, to work, and on weekend get-aways.

I found some deals on craigslists, for under $2000, and I am trying to decide if I should buy or not.

Welcome! There are lots of good options for dual sports these days. Have a look around, and see what looks good to ya. Oh, yeah - get into a rider course. 8)

Hi Magnum,

If you are buying an off-road bike, you should probably look into a dual sport so that you can ride it on the road too. There are lots of good choices (from what I understand), I just don't know much about dirt bikes or off-roads so I cannot really give you advice.

To get more replies, you could post a new topic in the forum "Total Motorcycle Talk" and title it according to your question. I am sure you will get some good responses there.
