Digital gear indicator on the fritz
Digital gear indicator on the fritz
Starting last week my gear indicator has been acting strange. Whenever I first start the bike and put it into 1st, my indicator will randomly change between "1" and "2". After about 30 seconds it stops doing this. I don't feel anything physically wrong with the gears, it's obvious that it is staying in 1st. I'm wondering if this is an indication of a future failure. Or could it be part of the bike's, should I say, "personality"? What would cause that signal to malfunction?

If one of the connections is loose and/or making poor contact, I think that that might cause it...I'm not experienced with those types of things, but it's a thought....

Sounds like something is loose to me, too. Its an 06, I'd just take it into the dealer...must have a warranty right?
