pesky warning stickers
Any suggestions on the best way to remove the warning stickers off your bike without ruining your paint?
Everyone has a photographic memory, some just don't have any film

Hair dryer to warm up and peel carefully.
Or ask Malice - he has some magical remover for glued things.

thus why I said a blade. after sticker has been soaked it just comes right off with the blade along with most of that sticky residue.Mintbread wrote:+1 on the hair dryer.
WD40 will take care of the sticky residue. I would avoud applying anything to the stickers other than heat before trying to remove as it could weaken them and they will tear into a million pieces.
I did this just a few months ago. The hair dryer seemed to work alright, but you really need to get Goo-Off or Super Degooper. I would not recommend using a razor blade if you've never done it before. Just heat it up using the hair dryer and apply liberal amounts of the adhesive remover. I used my fingernail to slowly peel the sticker off. For any additional residue, use more adhesive remover with a rag. When you get done, there is a good chance there will be some very light damage to the tank (cloudiness, hairline scratches, etc.) Do not fret. Most of this will come out after waxing and buffing the paint. If it still remains after one or two washes, go to a local auto-body supply shop. Buy some 3M Rubbing Compound. I would recommend using something that will remove scratches from 1200-2000 grit scratches. Be prepared to do ALOT of rubbing. That should clear up any problem areas with one application, but it won't hurt to do a second rub down. After you apply the rubbing compound give it a good wash, then wax, then sit back, light up a fine cigar, and gaze upon your beautiful new sticker free bike. Or you could go for a ride. Either way....
