I do the same thing.polarelf2003 wrote:I'll usually take mine with me - they make great handbaskets when you're shopping and more importantly, chicks dig it

If I'm going to be leave the bike and don't plan on going into anywhere (like a store, office, home, friend's house) I'll lock the helmet to the bike, but I'll take it with me to leave inside any time I get the chance, and it's not too bothersome.

I just leave my helmet on all the time. It makes meal breaks a little difficult but it's easier than carrying it around whenever your off your bike. Plus you're always ready to go and you don't have to worry about being the last guy to get his gear back on after a stop at the gas station. The only bad thing are the bug guts on my pillow.

Actually, thinking back on Keysman's comment...
I plan on buying a flip-face helmet, so that really wouldn't be a big issue. You could leave your helmet on, and the chinbar flips/front face up, so talking abd looking around and whatnot wouldn't be a real big issue at all.

I can just see the jokes coming, "you're so stupid you need to wear a helmet to walk around"
ad infinitum
ad infinitum
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
