Don't let this happen to you

#1 Unread post by blues2cruise »

I see so many young (and sometimes not so young) taking chances with their lives.
They ride far too fast and are very unpredictable.
This video is somewhat disturbing, but if it can make even one person who thinks they are invincible take more care, then it is worth it.

Everyone has a photographic memory, some just don't have any film

That was the impresson I got. I think there's maybe one or two more dead in that crash scene.
So tragic.

Vermicelli - I cannot believe you wrote/said that in this thread.

Blues - thanks for the reminder about being careful out there.

The point of my post was to remind riders and drivers that "excessive" speed and being unpredictable and "riding beyond one's ability" can have serious consequences.

Even if you have seen that video before, a dose of reality can save you.

This link has a tiny bit more.

Apparently the rider was travelling at 230kmh when he hit the Audi.
One dead and one seriously injured.

Maybe that's the problem. People see so much death, destruction and mayhem everyday, everywhere, in the newspapers, on TV, video games, and videos from the internet, that they get complacent.
They don't take it seriously. They get immune to violence, bloodshed and tragic accidents.
Death isn't a reality to many young people.
We'd like to see you live to be 26, verm,...oops...CR, and I would imagine your family and friends want you around a bit longer....so when you see something like that video, please take a moment and think to yourself.....

That could have been me.
