well the S is about 167hp, the Cooper is 115 stock, so neither is going to kill in a drag, but nothing could keep up to me on the corners on the interstate between Missoula and Spokane this weekend.
lol we picked up the car on wednesday night and already have 2500kms on it. Went Calgary, Great falls, missoula, spokane, Fernie and then back to calgary. was an awesome drive with lots of twistie roads.
This particular one is the Soho edition, which is a limited edition in Canada of the Cooper. The S was about 5-7 grand more and honestly not worth it for me since it's primarily going to be a commuter...with a new cold air intake and a remap i should be able to get 135 or so hp out of it and it will be kind of a sleeper.
it's automatic but has 3 modes, fully auto, sport which is manual but if you miss the shift it will shift for you, and a fully manual mode. Paddle shifts on the steering wheel are pretty cool hehe.

You're going to get tired of people calling it 'cute.' My dad drives a Cooper S, and that's his biggest complaint..."Hey cute car!"....."It's so cute!"
Fact is, it's a really nice car. Drives well and has incredible cornering. You can get yourself a little sticker for the back window that says:
'Actual Size'
