A BIG Cherrie WELCOME to ya MajorGator!

It's great to know your back on 2 wheels after a spell away from riding.

Nice choice with the Street-Bob. I have a Roadking & a Street-Rod, I love them both.

Don't forget to post a Picture of your bike elsewhere in our Forum....

Regards, AL/Centralozzy

Hello my name is David. I live in Japan and work as a HD mechanic. I have no bike at the moment. I sold my last bike, a Kawasaki ZRX1100 before i moved back here 8 monthes ago. I used to commute to my previous employer, american HD dealer everyday on it. no worries.
I have been waiting for the sportsters to go EFI. I thought they would this year so i waited to buy anything and save my money. Im really thinking of buying a 883R and punching it out to 1450cc. But that will require waiting for the aftermarket to catch up. It will need a bigger thottle body. The rest is as same as before. I think that would make a nice sleeper, and produce some real nice power.
I like alot of bikes, the brand doesnt matter to me. I like Harleys. They look and sound nice, but some of their parts are really a let down. The brakes and suspensions are very below par, and HD makes no effort to par weight. But you really cant go fast here in Japan anyway. The traffic jam is unending and the highways costly.

Welcome David in Japan!

I know what you mean about the brakes, but on the 06 Street-Rod that has well & truely been addressed!

Let's hope that this follows on to the other models.

Good luck with the HOT Sporty!

I am a newbie, I started riding my own last year. I am from upstate NY and own a 1200XLC sportster. My husband owns a Road King Classic. We rode out to Sturgis this year to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary on the Road King and had my bike trailered by friends. In total we travelled 4400+ and had a wonderful time. Thanks for the invit.

G'Day Jacks!

Welcome & congrats on the 25th wedding anniversary.

To gain quality riding experience, nothing beats riding on a long trip.

After that you really get to know your bike well & riding it seems effortless.

Next time you may decide to forget the trailer.

Have fun on the Sporty!

Hi All.

I joined the Harley Owners group a couple of weeks back but this is the first time I've had a chance to really check it out. As the name says, I've been around for a while.

Started riding a long time back and bought my first bike in the early 70's. Never owned a Harley 'till about three years back and still have it though I am loking for a beamer now as I want the ABS and it ain't offered on sportsters. I'll probably never own a geezer glide (or full dresser - if you prefer) type of bike, they just seem too heavy to me and most of my riding is around town or local single day trips.

My sportster is a 883 with an aftermarket tank (looks like a fat bob knockoff) windscreen and saddle bags engine guard etc. plus aftermarket exhaust that is way too loud. I should change it but I'm cheap and hate to spend the money. I'll wait till I get a ticket I guess. :?

Later ya'll

Hi Old,
I'd say you need a Roadking or some sort of Dyna perhaps.....

Not a BMW!

If you just got to have ABS look for a used police bike. Harley for some reason will sell ABS to the Police but not the general public. Its been an option for police bikes for a couple of years now as many departments require ABS. Most police departments use the bikes for 2-4 years and then buy new ones, so lots are around. Look for dealers with police service contracts. I know you can get it on police(and firefighter) road kings and ultras. Not sure about Dynas. Not a fan of Ultras but i definatly would ride a King if i had the money.

Hello, Few quick lines. Been riding various bikes for 30 years with a 5 year break to May of this year. Purchased an 06 FLHRI Road King. Woman hit me and totalled it after 8 days of ownership. Broken ribs and collar bone and no bike. Heck of a mess to be in. Have an FLHRSE3 on order. Ships from the factory in 12 days. Been waiting for weeks. Can't wait to get back on my own bike. Joined this forum in an attempt to find more info on the 07. Interested in the T96 info but really looking for the 110. If anyone finds a road test or review anywhere I would appreciate it if you'd give me the URL.
You haven't ridden until you've rolled.
