I'm a huge fan of VAST, and I've seen his stuff referred to as "Gothic Rock" in a guitar magazine. I guess I can see it due to all the dark undertones, I just don't want any "goths" catching wind of it and ruining it for me. :x

I like jazz...but not all the sub-genres.

I like swing and big-band -- Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, the Dorsey Brothers, Count Basie.
I don't really like the New Age or Smooth Jazz -- Miles Davis was a great jazz trumpetist, but not really my kind of stuff.

"my" other genres?
Rock
-grunge -- Nirvana, Alice in Chains
-metal -- Metallica, Helmet, Motley Crue
-industrial -- Ministry, old NIN
-punk -- Rancid...

Classical
-symponies
-baroque
-renaissance

I also browse through the Sirius satellite music channels on our Dish Network, and found out I like "trance." I think that's like "electronica" but only related to "techno" and not much like "dance" ?? :dunno:

I live for sub genres LOL.

I like Industrial (and its million and one sub genres LOL), Darkwave (cross Goth with new wave), some Goth and black metal, Trance, Hard House, old school heavy metal, and some 70s guitar rock.

I will tolerate most other music. Though I totally despise country and pretty much all forms of "contempory christian" music. Christian death metal makes me roll on the floor laughing my "O Ring" off.
