Well. I have done nowhere near any of you guys..except for Verm. I feel your pain on the sportbikes. I've done 450 miles and my legs numbed up twice.
Once I get older and can afford something nicer than my R6 i'll get something more comfortable to do those nice long road trips. The older part I'm not worried about cuz its happening every day...it's the money part I'm concerned about.

I've done about 500 on the VFR (250 a day). This was just twisty riding... I haven't done any long highway trips. The average speed was probably 45mph if you were to analyze it. I spent a decent amount of time below 45 (around town and on some really sharp blind corners)... and some time above 45.. (one loooong straight in particular probably brought that average up considerably).
Did a little more on the VF over a weekend when I first got it. Something to the tune of 300 miles per day (Sat and Sun).
Longest I've done on the KZ650 was probably 100 per day.

About 400 miles from Marysville, Ohio to Maryville, Tennessee - half of which was in the rain. At the end of our 3-day trip we'd done 1019 miles.
Also did 384 miles from Marysville to Aurora, Illinois and just recently did 327 miles from Olney, Illinois to Marysville, Ohio in just 4-hours and 20-minutes for an average speed of just over 75mph, including three stops for gas.

Quite right. FYI: I did it on a BMW K75RT(750cc).Nalian wrote:The 50CC is the Iron Butt Association's shorthand for 50 hours Coast to Coast. Although if you poke around, you'll find people that have done some amazingly long rides on scoots - more of a challenge than what I did for sure.
