So now instead of 9 planets we have, 4 planets, 4 giant planets, and 4 dwarf planets. Pluto should be more correctly known as a double planet, Pluto and its sattelite Charon are about the same size and both orbit around a central point (rather than charon orbiting pluto like a normal moon would).

On the upside we will get some nice up close and personal pics of pluto and charon in a few years. There was a space probe launched a few months back headed towards pluto.
