why not use the complete stop as an opportunity to hone your friction zone skills for taking off in first. This is the biggest reason I stop at EVERY stop sign when in my bike. I may be able to see that no cars are around but what about that 1 x where I stop and have to have a quick takeoff but because I wasnt practicing my takeoff at every stop sign I couldnt get away. Use it as a practice for taking off in first rather than doing a michigan stop (yes rolling through a stop sign is actually called a michigan stop because it was founded in michigan :D).

So NY gets STOP signs with fine print?

No cars and doesn't make it any less illegal.

Shift to 2nd to see if it'll lug or not. If it does, go to first.

i forgot to mention, these stop signs are an all way stop. i never do the roll on or "michigan stop" when its not an all way stop sign. now if people say they come to a complete stop for those when no cars around thats a lie.

I stop everytime and no im not lieing. come follow me around once and you will see. I would rather it be a habit of stopping at the stop sign everytime and being able to take off in a sticky situation than do a michigan stop everytime and not be able to take off quickly in a sticky situation. A 4 way stop is basically the only stop where I come to a complete stop in my cage (well that and blind stops where you cant see around some 900ft round tree). I come to a complete stop everytime on my bike but I drive my cage differently than I do my bike.

I completely stop at all stop signs. Always have always will. I've seen what farm road accidents look like when someone runs a stop - it isn't pretty. Dad taught me well when he taught me how to drive.

Calling the rest of us liars does not justify what you do. But I guess it makes you feel better, right?

I also stop...complete with my foot down on the ground.

I always thought the "non-stops" were called California Roll.

Just because you think your registered, "®" doesn't mean you're above the law. If you were approaching a stop sign and someone did the ol' TAXI stop, I'm sure you'd be pissed to no end and wondering where a cop was to give him a ticket...

calling other people liars, does that make me feel good....no. i never said it did. all i'm saying is that its hard to believe that u would stop for each stop sign as if you were taking ur road test. maybe its just were ur from b/c round me its not like that. what can i say its just the way i drive whether i'm in a car or on the bike.
