Welcome. Great looking bike. There is a lot of history with the Honda 750 4. After 10 years or so of making "nicest people on a Honda" bikes, the Japanese took a big risk in 1970 by introducing the CR750 to the USA at the Daytona Races. They fielded four bikes, three flagships ridden by the best that Britian had to offer and a back-up ridden by Dick "Buggs" Mann (2 time AMA Grand National Champ). The three first string bikes all packed up but Buggs cleaned up, beating Gene Romero's Triumph Trident by 8 seconds. It was a great opening for the Honda factory and, as a result, they sold a ton of 750's. By the way, Buggs also provided an early win for the Yamaha 250 two stroke and for OSSA (short track) as well. On the BSA Rocket 3, he was nearly unbeatable in 1971 on the road courses.
