I keep hearing people talking about removing the Air induction system.. and I've looked every and all i can find is how to remove it. What I actually want to know is...what is it and what good does it do to remove it. If anyone could explain or point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Systems vary a bit from make to make, and since your keeping your model a secret
I'll just guess.
Generally air induction is used to help lower emission readings. Not emissions. All they do is pump clean air into the exhaust, diluting it and therefore giving a lower reading of pollutants in the exhaust. This keeps the pencil pushers at the EPA happy without actually doing anything to reduce the amount of pollutants produced by the engine.
Some claims are made that the extra air helps complete combustion of the exhaust in the exhaust pipe, and it may do so, but really this happens very little, if at all. Course I'm sure there are some who believe it does just that to a greater amount, but they are not the engineers and designers I've talked to.... so take from that what you will....
