Actually the part people objected to was after he held the kid while feeding the croc. Shortly after that part, he holds the kid in both hands and has the kid "walk" next to the croc.

I think it's pretty sad, but i have to admit I'm surprised by all of the news coverage.

i fail to see the problem with the dangling of the baby infron of the croc, looked no more dangerous than half the stuff i did when i was young. i remember my dad took me to a lake with many gators in it to go swimmin and fishin alot when i was real young. we even didnt get out of the water when we saw one(then we would never have learned to swim) just kept an eye on them.

Indeed. I have fond memories of my folks actively encouraging me to try to pet the tigers at the zoo, run barefoot on broken glass, and juggle snakes.

Sure, once dad threw me over the fence with a chunk of meat tied around my neck, I had no problem getting close to the tigers.

are you trying to tell me that your parents never did anything that they thought was safe, but others might think dangerous. at age three i got a crash course in swimming which my father thought was safe, but in retrospect something could have happened. we were in the middle of a lake (in a boat of course, we dont walk on water) and then he tossed me out of the boat. he was right behind me and he saw no danger in it, but if i had sunk like a rock then i woulda been screwed and him too.

Anybody remember lawn darts? Clackers? Woodburning sets? Chemistry sets?

what are clackers? and i had no idea they even had to make wood burning sets, wood readily burns most of the time.
