Well kind of...

While they had it they decided that they would send a few of their intrepid reviewers out with a grand and a half in their sweaty mitts to buy some 'obsolete' road legal weapons.

The plan: To run these as purchased, unmodified superbikes of yesterday against one of the current best.

The contendors: 1990 CBR1000f, 1993 YFZ750R and a 1996 ZX-7R

The Challange: To get these ancient warriors within 5 seconds a lap of the Gixxers time

As Mike said, its a good example that even a 1993 superbike isn't slow or good for a new rider.

And I thought the YZF750R would perform the worst out of the lot.

Not bad, but they should really run that test again after installing a TRE on the gixxer.
