#1 Unread post by Edywazoo »

I bought new grips for my bike. and I cant for the life of me figuire out how to get the stock ones off. I even have the book showing and explaining all that has to do about the bike , but no info on grip removal?

Can someone give me some input, or some kind of help?

If you aren't worried about saving them, then just take a razor blade (box cutter/utility knife/razor knife) and carefully cut them off. It's likely that they are glued on.

A mechanic told me they use a needle valve on a compressor - the same you'd use for blowing up a basketball. They shove it under the grip and work it around....it allows you to roll the grip right off.
