Drive Insurance from Progressive

#1 Unread post by CNF2002 »

This commercial bugs me. Okay, Progressive sells car insurance. You call, they recommend a policy. They always say "I recommend 'Drive Insurance', from Progressive".

Is there another type of auto insurance that Progressive regularly sells? Is there a Non-Drive Insurance? How about Walk Insurance? When I call them, are they going to analyze my situation and recommend Take-a-Bus Insurance instead? Is 'Drive Insurance' to clarify that I am not being offered a Boat Insurance or Homeowners Insurance for my car?

They say it like Drive Insurance means something special...so Progressive customers I have to ask, what's the big deal?

What is Drive Insurance?

It’s a feeling.

It’s that special feeling you get when you sit behind the wheel, and you know, if you run over someone's grandmother while driving your Escalade while talking on the cell phone, you're covered. You get that twinkle in your eye when you think about how, when you purposely run over your stupid freaking bosses mailbox for the 18th time, and claim someone did a hit and run on your car, that you can submit a claim and you car will be fixed.

It’s also convenience. It’s convenient for Progressive to take your money out of your account on a monthly basis. Progressive gives you that special smile as they nonchalantly bend you over and forcefully insert there premiums in your policy until its sore with excitement.

You laugh to yourself at all the sheeple in the world who weren’t special enough to receive this special feeling that you get from Drive Insurance.

You're special. You have Drive Insurance.

Not just any insurance, but DRIVE INSURANCE MOTHER steamwhistle!!!!!

I gotta go make a payment and possibly "up my policy".

There actually is a difference. Drive insurance is what Progessive calls the policies that are sold through insurance agents. The other type is Progressive Direct, which you get yourself on the internet. Drive insurance is slighly more expensive for the same policy, since they have to pay the broker a fee.
