Don't think they'll have any problem with it.

Not sure what's around TX, I'm sure there's several though.

good luck!

i dunno if it matters to you... but some insurance companies have some clause that they will not cover you if you are involved in any racing.

i know trackdays is not racing but it's still in a racetrack.

i was supposed to sign up for a trackday on OCT 2 but when i thought about this... i didn't sign yet. i have to make sure i am covered since i financed the bike.

my AAA booklet didn't mention anything about it but i still wanna make sure and give them a call before i sign up for the trackday.

check your insurance if it matters to you.

and you might be already aware of this... but even if somebody else hits you on the track... you can't hold them responsible. it doesn't matter whose mistake it is. you're on your own there.

anyway, once again... good luck! :D

You cant hold them responsible? Do you sign some kind of release when you sign up for the trackday?

yes, there are release forms to be signed.

you can't sue anybody for any damages to your body or bike.

that's pretty understandable but people should at least be able to make a claim on their own insurance.

When you are on the track, you are not insured. Insurance companies do not cover you while you are at racing events, which includes track days, 1/4 mile tracks, autocrosses, etc.

There was a day at the local drag strip a couple weeks ago, where you could show up with $20 and take a crack at the 1/4 mile.

I really wanted to go, but this image of dumping my bike and not having insurance kept creeping into my mind. Kind of ruined it for me. I didn't bother.

:)

im still hopeful that i will be covered since there's no mention of it on my AAA customer packet.

i just have to verify it with my insurance agent.

if not... then im screwed out of trackdays.

sure i can still go, but i will just be paranoid about pushing myself and if i just ride the same way i ride on the streets... then IMHO, it's a waste of time and big money.
