I would like to offer everyone a challenge. The next time you go out for parking lot practice and slow speed manuevers, get yourself in 2nd gear, then try each exercise using your right hand only to steer the bike. Keep your left hand glued to your leg, don't even bring it up to balance. I'm interested in your observations and take on how it feels.
Haha. I do it most days but I have crashed most unceremoniously more times than I care to mention.
Your blog has been an amazing read so far and I continue to be humbled by your commitment to riding. Keep it up!
Shorts, I can sort of see where you're coming from. I recall a post I made in response to one of your threads. I was riding in the mountains and the temps dropped and my hands were freezing as I had only summer gloves. I started riding with only my right hand for throttle while keeping my other hand near the engine for warmth. All the maneuvers were much more difficult and I had to really pay attention to how my body was placed and needed a bit more "body english" to get the turns. Most of the turns were in 2nd or 3rd so it was a bit easier than doing things at lower speeds.
