I like #1, I wasn't aware Honda still made the CB500 in '99, was it not available in the US?

True, it is a lot, but that means well broken in and smooth! I bought my bike with 74k km on it

This bike drives and looks like it should have way less mileage under its belt.

Don't be weary of high mileage bikes unless they really really look like it. Maintenance maintenance maintenance...just take care of it.

The CB500 is still available new here. They used to be used by Couriers, they are used by a lot of training schools and they have a tendacy to be peoples "first big bike"

After todays run down to Bourne and back (90 odd miles) to drop off the house documents I'm not totally sure that there isnt a ticket on its way to Dukanmortis' house for me.

Which is upsetting as I might have to go back to riding 125's for the next 18 months...

You're allowed 6 points in the first 2 years kal = 2 tickets to lose your license... after that its 12

Exactly. I need to keep my speed down until I have all the poimts to play with!

Oh and I did buy a bike Saturday. It should be being delivered next week. I shall be posting pictures!

They don't make the CB any more, just the CBF500 - slight re-design but the same engine.

There better not be a ticket on the way here or your in more trouble than you already are!!!!!!!!!!

Well I bought my new bike about six weeks ago. It took me two weeks just to get hold of the sales guy responsible for it and pay a deposit.

Insurance has been interesting as it's a Grey market import and not yet registered in this country and last Friday saw me doing a 170 mile round trip to sign the finance paperwork.

Now I've got nothing to do except wait until it is delivered next Tuesday...
