Yearly miles/kilometers

#1 Unread post by Mag7C »

This was going to be a poll, but the mi/km distance conversion is too complicated for my brain to handle.

I've been riding for about 9 months now, just over 6000 miles on 2 different bikes. I'm hoping to hit 10k before my 1 year motorcycle anniversary :D .

How far do you usually ride each year?

I will put 1,000 miles, minimum, on my bike per month for every month that is decent to ride in.

So, if we get an 8 month season, I'll expect to put 8,000 miles on just from going to work/school and back! And I know I'll be on several thousand more miles on trip/leisure riding as well.

That is, of course, assuming that my bike will hold together through all of this. ;)

I'm at a shade under 5,000 miles and my one year anniversary is coming up in a couple months. I've got my work cut out for me!

Let's see, 200 miles every Friday, 500 miles every Saturday and Sunday, for two months... That should put me around 10,000 miles or so my first year.

7000 since September 1 '04., so expecting 10,700 for the year (I'll settle for 10,000 if I have to). Been thinking about not riding in 13 degree weather this winter, so next year may drop.
Ride safe...God bless!

Same here :D . Even with a scarf my neck would start hurting before a minute into the ride. Having a continuous brainfreeze for an extended period of time can't be good for the body .
