Honda Goldwing Air Bags

I'm looking to buy a Honda Goldwing with an airbag. Has anyone heard of any accidents were it used and, if worked properly?

It's such a new feature and Goldwing riders are generally a safer crowd, I'm not sure there are statistics to go either way...
