no matter why you have a factory replica racer it is really none of our business, you may be a poser, just cruising for girls, maybe your going to build a show busa, you may want to go to race school and learn some track skills, may just like to rip the throttle wide open on 165hp and let it rip. It doesnt matter. You may have 30 plus years of riding experience and you crave the latest technology.

To each their own. I dont beleive in riding like a stunter on the street and I dont think newbies need litre bikes, but thats their choice, right?

Just ride, give me a low wave as you pass.

who the hell cares. it's their money. they probably worked for it.
You mean like us slow geezers who buy cruisers 'cause we can't hang in the canyons?

So many ways to answer the original question. Why do people buy Air Jordans who don't play basketball? Why do people build monster spec PC's just to play games on them? Why do people in wheelchairs buy sneakers?

It's all a matter of choice. I'm looking at getting a sport bike over a cruiser simply because I like the way they look and the way they feel.

You can argue about morons who buy them and stunt on the street all day and I'd agree. Take it to the track.

Because modern games put the most demand on a PC outside of CAD programs and video editing software which most people don't own or use. Why someone needs a 2.0GHz dual-core CPU and 2GB of RAM for checking email and typing letters is the real question. Once I decided to go console-only for gaming, the cost of building my PC dropped significantly.

Spoken like a true geek.
A dog had his chain reduced one link at a time, every few days, until his chain was so short he could barely move. He never resisted because he was conditioned to the loss of his freedom slowly, over time. Are we in this country becoming like the dog?

I'm with you - that was one of the best choices I could have made..no more yearly video upgrades, memory upgrades, etc.

I think a better question to the OP is - why wouldn't you buy an RR bike if you wanted it.

I buy sportbikes for the cornering. Plus I can't afford to go to track days or shools. It's just really too bad that people (primarily young people) like to buy a brand new litre bike, then sit next to it at starbucks to pick up on chicks. They prolly ride the thing about 400 miles a year, and will never even learn to put their knee down. Then they learn how to do do tricks and fall off the back when doing a 100 MPH wheelie, and have daddy buy them a new and better bike. Pathetic!
