Cruising Pegs?

#1 Unread post by Mag7C »

When I bought my bike the guy gave me a couple of bolt on footpegs with it. They supposedly attach to the frame in front of the normal ones and flip down for a more relaxed position on longer rides. I think I'm going to try them, even though it's probably not such a hot idea riding with my feet that far from the controls.

Just wondering if anyone else has a similar configuration and if it's worth installing.

i was out for a long time today and i'm thinking the same thing. It would have been nice to stretch out a bit from time to time. as far as being away from the controls it's really just a question of using your heal rather then your toe.

The general idea for 'cruising pegs' is to use them when you're on the highway for extended periods of time- Where you won't need to shift, and most braking can be done just be letting off the throttle.

They're not something you're likely to use a whole lot in city traffic.

For your own welfare, they should never be used in city traffic.

And when you're thirsty, do you get yourself a 'soda' or a 'pop'? :) (But I think we all know the answer is neither of those  )

It used to be 'pop', but branding has long since killed that. Now it's a coke, sprite or mountain dew.....

We still call 'em 'barley pops' or 'wobbly pops' though...... :humm:
