Sorry dude, but economies are global like it or not, and the U.S. has preached globalization and free trade from day one of being a superpower. If we really practice what we preach, we should buy the best item at the best price and supposedly, it will all work out.

I recall a time when Japanese were the enemy, but many of us have no problem riding their bikes!
Import Tariffs on Canadian Softwood Lumber.

Free trade my "O Ring"!
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

The U.S. has a unique way of defining "free trade", it's just the rest of us that don't "get it"

Oh geez, we'll if you want a beer war, you guys should try JPN beer - its a good run for the money. Not to mention, you can buy it from vending machines sitting out on nearly every curb

As for not buying certain products, sorry, i don't boycott. We buy what we need. Besides, DH is putting in his time as a Naval Officer. We can buy whatever the hell we want!

As you know, you should, as much as possible, NOT support the economy of a repressive regime.
Especially considering I just read they are harvesting organs from live Falun Gong prisoners.
Uhhhh. Thank you for your advice. I'll keep that in mind.

By the way. You got a source for that "harvesting organs" deal?
