Well I wish I could...
It costs something like $1800 while most of us here earn less than $300 a month or even less

i love those bikes....i really like the military styled ones...ive been seriously thinking this is my next bike. cant wait to go test ride some soon.

Used ones always needs some more investment apart from the original sale price. Don't know what the engine conditions are like, most of them in bad shape usually. Esp these bikes, no one buys and sells for atleast 5 years within which I'm sure they will be worn much. Besides there are a lot of legal issues here in India

I don't know anything about these bikes, but they are beautiful. I can't afford one but I love the look.

They used to import them to Canada but gave up a few years ago because of quality control issues. India makes about 20,000 of them each year for their home market and didn't see the need to focus on things like warranties, reliability issues, upgrading of technology, etc. Back in the early 50's a company in India purchased all the tooling from the Royal Enfield company when it was about to go under - they've been making them there ever since with very few improvements.

Having said that, if you are handy with tools and don't mind owning a bike that does NOT like speeds above 90kmh for any length of time then a Royal Enfield might just be your cup of tea. They're definitely unique and easy to work on.
