I must have a good mechanic because he lent me his sevice manual from the local Honda shop where he works. Never hurts to nice to your mechanic. Wonder if there is a Mechanics Day. Or Hug your local moto mech.. Seems to work for me.

I think you misunderstood...the soap box gets used for all kinds of stuff.
You are very fortunate to be bale to get to know your mechanic. I don't have the space at my apartment to be able to do anything mechanical....except maybe change an exhaust gasket....so I take my bike to the dealer where I bought the bike.
They are very good about answering my questions, but they are too busy to lend out equipment.
Is your mechanic an independent guy with his own repair shop?
