motorcycle video games
GTA has always had some fun motorcycle riding in it. no thing better than jacking someones bike then running from the cops at high speed.
for non bike racing game id go forza all the way. that game is amazing, blows away everything else including GT4. forza has a level of realism no game can even come close to. you can adjust your car down to every level even tire preasure front/rear, angle of the tires, spoilers, gears, paint and decals and alot more. everyone points out how GT has way more cars... but really how many crappy slow run of the mill cars do you need in your garage? forza has some very exotic cars as well as your civics and fords. too bad no bikes though id love a forza style game for bikes.

My friends always poke fun at me about this.iwannadie wrote:GTA has always had some fun motorcycle riding in it. no thing better than jacking someones bike then running from the cops at high speed.
1) I always prefer to ride the M/C's on GTA, even before I bought a bike.
2) I almost always crash them, very hard, fairly shortly after I steal them.
3) I just bought a real motorcycle.

I think it was best said by...iwannadie wrote: but really how many crappy slow run of the mill cars do you need in your garage?

it comes down to what you want to drive of course. but in my forza garage i have a few imprezas all differently set up, a few mustangs, porches, ferrari's, supra, civics etc. you can have all the saturns, neons, and all the other slow box style cars you want in GT ill stick with my forza cars just fine ; pTelesque wrote:I think it was best said by...iwannadie wrote: but really how many crappy slow run of the mill cars do you need in your garage?

car types aside, you really should give forza a run just to see how Real it is compared to GT, most people want GT for being a great sim not the car choices. once you play forza youll see how GT laggs way behind in realism.

I've done that with a couple cars in GT3. Basically, you apply all the required physics to help it happen- Slam the rear suspension, raise the front, put serious downforce on the spoiler and none on the front. It won't work with all the cars because you still need a certain amount of power to get it going fast enough for lift-off.iwannadie wrote:i saw pics of someone with an old stingray they managed to tweak enough power out of to get the front wheels off the ground ; )

There's also some sort of glitch in the mechanics. Once you get a car's front end off the ground, you can hit speeds of 5,000 MPH (Pretty sure it was that high.. 3,000 at least).

this guy didnt screw up the suspension just had enough power on it to bring the wheels up. he actually raced it so needed a good suspension setup
you can buy/sell cars online too with forza which is pretty cool eheh.

There are no jumps or flashing icons in the racing game.Telesque wrote:Actually, Burnout 3 is exactly what I was thinking of when I said:Sevulturus wrote:You've obviously never played Burnout's 1, 2, and 3. Those are the best racing games ever. No motorcycles though.
GT4 doesn't reward you for hitting jumps, and you don't regain turbos for hitting flashing icons in the road (mainly because neither can be found in the game).Telesque wrote:Well, for those who like realism, at least. It's not the sort of game where you just hit the turbos and ride the wall for the entire race.
Actually, one of my favourite racing games ever is Star Wars Ep. I: Pod Racer. It's not much for realism, but it's got all those nice bang 'em up qualities, plus once you hit the high-end units, just piloting the thing without blowing up at the slightest touch is a good challenge.
... Man, now I want to go out and get an old N64 just to play that again. Good times. Good times.
You gain boost by driving into oncoming traffic, nearly missing a vehicle, forcing your opponent to crash, or powersliding.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
