The salesman won't be putting anything on your bike if that's what you mean. But he'll probably be making some commision on anything that you do order through him.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
You can order most anything through the dealer. Most also only want to install parts that are ordered through them. If you order from somewhere else, the dealer may refuse to install the parts or may charge a much higher rate for labor.
Bear in mind a lot of the mods are simple bolt on stuff that you can install yourself.
For serious engine work (turbos, etc.) I would be more tempted to find a shop that specializes in the kind of work you want done. Do your homework and check around. If the shop has a good reputation they will not mind telling you about satisfied customers. Some dealers do this type of work but not many.
By the way, a good turbo install is much more involved that just bolting it on. To do it right with a chance of keeping it in one piece with much boost you will end up doing a lot of engine work.
I would be the old, slow guy. Just let me know where you are going and I'll try to get there before you leave.
Well, the thing is that all we can offer you is opinions based upon our experiences. It may be totally different depending on what dealership you go to, and what sort of work they are willing to do. And I have to ask how you bought a bike without being in the county.

Back in the olden days we used to pull brand new H2s off the showroom and rebuild them with all Denco parts, bigger Mikunis, electronic ignition, and chambers. Voids the heck out of the warranty, but the yuppie larvae buying them usually didn't ride far enough to need a warranty before crashing.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.
