Must be nice to live where you can ride everyday without freezing! No ice yet though.
If anyone has a beach house in florida for free let me know :D

Have you put the bike away yet for the season? If so, I wish you a very brief winter. If you're still riding, what sort of cold weather gear do you wear? Specifically, what type of pants?

sucks here in Chicago.
Its a tad cold, but its more of the nasty rain we have been getting.
rode last night though...about mid to low 40's, light wind and i did well sort of.

Leather jacket- wonderful!
Balaclava- kicks rump!
ghetto Leather gloves- surprisingly wonderful!
Doc Martin 12 hole boots- dependable!
Levi's 527's- my legs were so cold that i couldnt feel them shaking uncontrollably!

need to break out the chaps, baby!

Welcome aboard! Winter riding can be a challenge and not quite so much fun, but it's still worth it - especially on days when the temps decide to go up into the 50's. Enjoy the forums.
