2000 Suzuki Marauder Clutch adjustment

#1 Unread post by mikesen »

I have a 2000 Marauder i've only had the bike since august and ever since then when releasing the clutch it doesn't grab until i'm almost letting go of the lever. It's a cable and has adustments at both the lever and were it connects to the arm. is there a way to ajust it so it releases about half way. no matter how many times i adust it i can't get it to release in the middle it's always at the end. am i doing something wrong or is the clutch just wore. it's only got a bout 8k on the bike. any help would be apprieciated. thanks

I had the same problem on my '98. I adjusted it at the clutch lever.

You can fine tune at the lever end, but if you need big adjustment, go to the tranny end, then fine tune at the lever again.
