Now that you mention it, I got thinking... And yeah, I pulled out the Popular Mechanics issue where Leno wrote about it (he writes a monthly column.) He said he thinks it's fun to ride, but completely impractical (nah, really?). He says it's a horror to ride on the streets because the turbine takes two seconds to wind up for power delivery, and two seconds to wind down before power is gone... Huh, who knew having so much power could be such a burden???

I read the something like that...he said once you're over 65 you need to start slowing down a good 150yrds before your stop.

I have seen Hayabusas running 700+ hp and 370 odd ft/lbs of torque.
Considering the engine in the Y2K, the numbers are fairly average.
