Those underarmors are supposed to be great. Last week, it was cold, and we met a guy who had one on. He said he could take off his jacket and ride warm.
I have polar level thermal underwear. It isn't a waffle - but this tan shiny material. They are super warm.
I am also a huge fan of wool. I wear wool amost all the time once November comes - I have dress wools, casual wools, sport wools....

One thing with UnderArmor is that you've got to match the 'type' with the use.
If you wear a warm weather UA top in cold weather, you'll FREEZE! If you wear cold weather UA in hot weather you'll roast. (How does it Know?)
50-50% cotton/poly should be fine. You really just need to avoid all cotton.

Thanks for the tips.
I didn't know that about the under armour. Good to know. I think I got myself a summer one because it was on a huge discout.
Guess I'll leave that home and just layer up on other stuff.
I did get some of those hot hands things but someone now has told me that they only work if they can get air so they may not be of any help. We were going to use them in our shoes and gloves. Anyone know if they'll work if they aren't able to get any air to them?
Keep the tips coming ladies! These are great and I'm actually starting to look forward to our ride.

Thanks. I got them in the mail today, so we're good to go with those.
I went today and got a vinyl type rainsuit as I was told by another rider that that will help keep the wind off of me alot since I don't have chaps. I'm hoping that will help. I plan to wear the rain pants on top of my long johns and jeans and the jacket on top of my turtle neck, sweat shirt and leather jacket. Does that sound ok?
