Well everyone has to start with piddly easy stuff, its how you learn and get confident. Remember that whole crawl before you walk thing???The Crimson Rider® wrote:it's ok.Sevulturus wrote:It's a great feeling when you do something like that for yourself isn't it?

Great V! Next thing we'll hear you bored out your cylinders and installed oversized pistons with a toothpick and some silly putty, McGyver style. Dunno what you mean by a bad tape job, looks good to me.

What's wrong with that? Macguyver was a great show, and s``o far my bike runs great! lol Anyway, that sounds like fun Verm. And I'm curious, are your turn signals on your mirrors? Only reason I can think of to have wires running to them...CNF2002 wrote:Great V! F^#&(@%^)#ing HELL!
i just accidentally deleted my vid of the trackday.
im so pissed off right now.
i watched on my tv... then when i was about to copy it into my pc... i booted my PC and it was disk checking my cam hard drive, i cancelled it and went on to windows. but when i checked the cam drive... there was freakin nothing on it.
it got F#^@&#ing deleted!!!
i was gonna show to you guys, my co-workers, my friends at the philippines, etc.
i can't F^*(^@#(ing believe this.
well anyway... this track is way technical compared to the big track.
i ran off the track 2x.
im getting good at off-roading.
my buddy crashed very late in the day. he's a good rider, he just made a mistake and his tires didn't have enough grip to compensate.
he was actually saying before he crashed that he's not feeling very confident on his tires. (his tires has seen 3 trackdays already) and there he goes, he crashed on the next session. he regrets not changing his tires.
oh and i still didn't dragknee but i'll get there with enough trackdays.
here's our pit. jose, the guy i rode with, he's very cool.

yes it is expensive... he's using pirelli dragon super corsas.CNF2002 wrote:After 3 trackdays his tires are already shot? There's an expensive hobby for ya!
and if he was riding at the pace of the advance group... those tires probably won't even be good enough for a 2nd trackday unless maybe if they use tire warmers to avoid heat cycles.
oh and there was a woman on a blast yesterday.

she's not fast but i applaud her for being at the tracks.
i told my other buddy who didn't attend but just came along since he said he wan't get a gixxer750 before he attends trackdays... he has a bandit 600 and he's a better rider than me. i told him about the lady in the blast and he looked like he had a revelation.

went to my mechanic to have my tires checked out and have him make a custom front mount for my cam. he said he'll probably have the mount ready by friday.
he told me to sit on the bike as if i was riding... then i got some corrections.
he said im sitting way too far on the seat. he said the only time i should be doing that is if im going on straights.
there was also another guy there on his shop and he was also coaching me.
they said when in turns... i should sit very close to the tank. they said im working against the bike if im turning and seating away from the tank. they also said this will help prevent rear wheel slides.
he said to be careful since this will make the bike turn easily and sharper, so don't let go of the gas and i'll notice i'll be staying at a higher rpm and going much faster in the turns.
and of course... he told me not to apply this on city streets intersections. LOL!
very cool indeed. im gettig my bike fixed and my skills fixed as well.
i should try it this weekend.
also, i was flaterred since both of them were praising me. they said im doing really good for somebody who is new to riding.
they said to apply what they taught me today and i'll be better at cornering.
