Bike theft

or get a sniper rifle put your bike in a dark ally hide on the roof and wait for a thief to come by, theeeeeeeeeeeeeeen BAMB. and do this tell there are no theives in your area left to steal yours or anyone elses bike

then your a hero to all the people with bikes in your area.

oh i think that fuel line idea sounds good i would really consider doing that

the license plate idea sounds good but then think about finding your bike gone and the most obvious way for a cop to ID it is suddenly gone. it might be quickly in another state with no tag to track it back to at least your state. or if you forget to put your plate back on and get pulled over for not having it.

sniper rifle in a dark alley is nice. id also enjoy lurking under the parked car next to the bike with a knife. edged weapons are alot of fun, and no splattered brains to clean off your bike either

A good sniper wouldn't get brains on his bike. That's just a bad shot.

Mmmm. Howsabout a quick-connect link for the throttle cable? What's he gonna do, ride away with the choke pulled?

i know an iraqi(former soldier/terrorist/all around horrible guy, but now cool) he always told me shoot for the neck. and if theres a few people try to line the shot up so youll get all them through the neck with one shot.

otherwise i cant see how anyone would get a headshot with no brains going every where. someone sitting on a bike trying to steal it makes for a hard chest shot, youd need a nice angle and hope to not miss and hit your bike. head shot works from any side and your likely to miss to the high enough and to the side not touching your bike

line your seat with a nice decrotive chrome(foil mesh material) pattern, that links to your battery. with a simple switch you route the ingition switch to the seat. unknowing thief gets on trys to fire it up and gets zapped to hell. just be sure not to zap yourself with that one....

Well, the idea is in the set up. If the theif is between yourself and the bike, either wait until he moves to the other side, or gets on top of the bike. The forward momentum of the bullet would cause the body and resultant mess to fall to the side.

I can deal with forgetting to turn on my gas tank, and I'm alright if I forget to flip the killswitch back to 'Run', but I don't think I could take much of forgetting to disable an electroctuion system.

Theft is just another good reason why bikes need louder exhausts.

OK, how about this... Install two tiny alarm horns that generate a lot of decibels - piercing sound - in hidden locations on the bike and controlled by a conspicuously hidden switch. When the bike is started, the horns would emit a very loud noise that would send the thief running in panic. But this would not stop the truck guys, and probably drain your battery after a while

Well, back to alarms then...

I looked into the Scorpion alarm and it seems like a plug and play alarm system for $350 bucks or so....might be good to look into!

id want an alarm with paging, other wise it would be pretty useless around here noone pays any attention to car alarms going off. would only help if i knew it was going off and probally wouldnt hear it from the parking lot.

Yeah... maybe on your fancy pants bike you can... not on my old nighthawk.
Well, on the parts bike you can just not on the working one...
and i tried for around an hour to get the parts ignition off but to no avail its just 2 bolts, there is no reason for it to be so hard.

Speaking of which how much experience did you have before you moved up to the 599?
