A petition from nerds everywhere
Please. For the love of all thats holy. Don't meet the IT guy with the bad heart at the door yelling and panicking. Please. Pretty please.
And dang sure not if there isnt really a problem.
/me goes to a corner to tremble for awhile.

Those fluttering sensations you're feeling are called PVC's, and they look neato on an EKG.roscowgo wrote:Please. For the love of all thats holy. Don't meet the IT guy with the bad heart at the door yelling and panicking. Please. Pretty please.

Haha, I do phone tech support for IBM, and you should hear some of the calls I get.
I have customers getting mad at ME because THEY spilled water on their OUT OF WARRANTY thinkpad, and I won't fix it for free.
Then I have old ladies calling me, making up problems, just so they have someone to talk to.
Crazy.
My favorite one today though, was they lady who calls in because she doesn't know how to turn off her computer, she just longs of every night for months at a time, and then wonders why the computer crashes every couple of months.

Can any of you IT people help me?
I deleted some contacts out of my address book that I no longer wish to communicate with, but one of them won't go away.
When I look in the contacts list, the name is not there, but...if I open a new message window to send an email, the name will come up when I type the first letter.
Do any of you know how I can get rid of that name from my computer?

Granted, you'll need a new hard drive, but I prefer the large, powerful magnet method... Other than that though... no way that I know of... Sorry.
