Umhm, so if I changed my bars and pegs I'd have a sportbike?

ninja 250/500, GS500F... not sportbikes.

anything else you wanna throw in?
dude! You are a walking encyclopedia! I have another burning question: what is the air-speed of a swallow?

pretty much.

get some clip-ons and AM rearsets... set the rearset further back than where it's supposed to be and you have a very basic sportbike right there.

:horse:

What's a ZZR250? VTR250 Interceptor?

The Crimson Rider® wrote:point is... sportbikes need to have that aggressive riding position.

then there's other stuff too under sub-categories of sportbikes.

RR bikes, streetfighter, cafe racer, sport touring, supersport touring, supersport, superbike, etc.

Can you go into detail about that? I'm still confused.

Streetfighters don't have an aggressive riding position and neither do sport-touring bikes. If you had ridden any other bikes you would probably know this.

ZZR250 is the same as the ninja250 so sporty

the VTR is a standard bike.

Thanks, I didn't know what my VTR looked like. If you read, I said VTR250 Interceptor.

You can be leaned forward on some cruisers - does that make them "sporty" enough to be a sportsbike?

nope... but they're sportbikes that have been stripped of fairings.

about the cruisers, yeah i know. i once rode a rebel w/ my feet on the passenger pegs to simulate my sportbike's riding position.

No, I'm not talking about changing things around with your feet. I'm talking about needing to lean forward to get ahold of the bars. What then?
