Prayers for my brother...

#1 Unread post by BBLineBacker81 »

I know that many of you out there may not be religious or anything and many of you don't know me or my brother, but he was in a motorcycle accident last monday. I've been at the hospital he was airlifted to the whole week otherwise i would have had this up sooner.

His name is Andrew and he is 18 years old. He's a real good rider, he was just born to ride anything that can be riden or driven,

He was going through a light S-turn near our house when somehow his bike went down. The bike slid forks-first into a guard-rail taking out a post and he ended up tangled in the rail. He was airlifted to Westchester Med. Sustained a broken femur, shattered pelvis, and two crushed vert. Sofar he has had three operations, one to clean the 18 inch gash in his leg and to put a rod in his leg, the second to put in a filter which will keep clots from going up to his lungs, and the third to reopen his leg to check for infections because he spiked a fever the day prior to his operation scheduled to fuse the vertebre in his back. That opertation was cancelled and they are waiting for the fever to subside so that they can operate. He's got a tube down his throat to keep his oxygen level up because he couldn't sustain it. Doctors say that had my cousin not been behind him he would have died on the scene.

If you could all just say a prayer for my little brother, it would be greatly appreciated, it's hit my parents extremely hard along with the rest of my family. It's been a really rough week so-far and I know that had it not been for the grace of god putting my cousin there with him, my brother would not be around today.

There is another young man there from a motorcycle accident by the name of Steven. He is 22 and our families have befriended eachothers while sitting in waiting rooms. He was invovled in a head on and all I know is that he needs our prayers as well. If you could all say a prayer for my brother andrew and this kid steven as well, it would be greatly appreciated. I really miss my bro...

Brandon,

This is never an easy thing to go through. Talk it out, be there for your friends and family, and know that I am praying for your brother, and Steven.

Matt.

I think that everyone here in this forum gives our thoughts and prayers for both your brother and Steven. It must be difficult for you and your family....especially your mom.

I hope he has a speedy recovery, please keep us updated on his condition.

Warmest regards

Brandon...clearly God isn't finished with your brother yet. Please assure him and your family of my prayers, and any others you get a response about. On one site, a member made a printout of the thread listing all the prayer support, and it really blessed and encouraged the injured riders. Just an idea. We will pray for all of you, both for speedy recoveries, and strength to weather this storm together with God's help. Keep us posted.
Ride safe...God bless!
