What About Trikes?

We had a "Wing-Ding" (errm, Honda GoldWing riders' gathering) in our town last fall and I noticed a lot of them were riding trike conversions, especially the older riders.
Question is, are there any trike riders on the forum? Also, for you two-wheelers, have you ever thought about someday getting that third wheel and, for that matter, what might influence you to do so?
Seems to me they might be a bit less intimidating for riders who are less than confident on two wheels and/or who percieve that their own physical abilities aren't up to par anymore. I suppose that realization awaits all of us, assuming we live long enough.

Any thoughts?

I saw a motorcycle the other day with one of those sidecar thingys. I'm kind of wondering what the advantage is over just having the passenger sit on back.

When I'm too old to pick the bike up off the kickstand, I will just pull it over on top of me and suffocate......

There is absloutely nothing that would influence me to get a trike. Except for health reasons.

Well OK if I was delivering pizza and could rig a warming oven I might consider it

when i'm 80 and my 30-year old girlfriend wants a trike, i'll get a trike

Let's see... you're 80 and she's 30... I'd say she'll be wantin' something alright, but I don't think that's what she'll call it.

Trikes are Ghey.

I saw a guy riding one a few weeks back and as he was headed toward me but in the rearview I noticed that he had a wheelchair on the back. I think it was cool for that guy to ride a trike and I can still respect him.
