A note to Experienced Riders: From The n00bz.
Dear Biker that I passed the other day. I did not mean to be a jerk and not wave to you. I'm just *really* new at this, and the next intersection is a DEATH TRAP and I was too worried about the broken glass and gavel to return.
Also I've never done "the wave". I'm a virgin. It just wasn't our time. Can't we just cuddle?
Seriously though. If some guy doesn't wave back to you, he may not be a jerk. He may just not be comfortable enough with taking an arm off the bars. He's porbably thinking "all 4 up all 4 down." "did I singal? did I turn off my last signal? OH CRAP DON'T BLOW THE HORN THAT WILL ONLY ATTRACT ATTENTION!"
and so on.

Zoo will get over your snub in time. And thank you for caring.
That said, I've got to admit that there are a variety of reasons I don't wave back (usually I try to be the first to wave). Sometimes I just don't see you in time to get fingers up, or like you, I've got other stuff going on and can't.
I've learned to accept that not everyone will wave back for various reasons. Thats just life.

There is one time, and one time only that someone not waving at me bothers me.
When they look right at me and sneer. Then look away (only happened once, but the guy was on a cruiser, and I've got a sportbike). Haha.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

to continue with my analogy... today I got to second (third?) base. I waved to a School Crossing Guard (to show good faith!) and then I got waved at by a guy on a lawn mower! I was all over that! Even gave him a happy *beep beep* !
Myexperience level went from "kind of nervous to get out there" to "Man this is WAY better than my cage"
and even "oh MAN I love changing lanes on a bike instead of in a car! I CAN SEE!!!"
