Tied to the machines.
I was reading a tidbit article on a tech site in which it seems Bill O'Reilly and his thoughts on the whole gaming (PS3) and electronics era.
From what I gather it seems anyone who likes to use such things are doomed to failure and that geeks/ nerds are not able to carry on a conversation. WTF?
To be honest I didn't read too much of the whole transcript because I tend to get mad at stupid windbags who make money off of propaganda. I just got most of the feel from the posters (look for ratings 2+ when reading posts, they're usually good).
I know some of you are into such electronic lifestyles or are a geek in your job so let's get this discussion rolling.

"the jihadists? They’re not playing the video games. They’re killing real people over there."
billy boy, billy boy... these geeks are gonna create a robot army to kill them instead
"The skill set that is necessary to earn a decent living is being deemphasized in a fantasy world of football games and shooting zombies"
billy do you deny the fact that zombies are a real threat to national security? that why us americans are allowed to carry guns

I wonder if Ken Kutaragi agrees. Or maybe he missed Bill's show because he was shopping for a new Ferrari? He spilled some coffee in the old one."The skill set that is necessary to earn a decent living is being deemphasized in a fantasy world of football games and shooting zombies"

Ironic it seems that he has a podcast.
All the electronic gear today requires reading and following instructions or you may end up breaking something very expensive. Even when playing video games a child will use some critical thinking to get around obstacles and such.

I'm confused by the above post - lyrics maybe?
Anywho, I used to like Bill O'Reilly, I even read one of his books, but after the whole sex scandal thing, I lost whatever respect I had for him. This whole thing is just silly, I love video games, but I seem to be doing alright for myself.
