Forget the wiring diagram, just pull all the wires out and make your own harness
:shifty eyes:. As an added bonus you get to hand DH a handful of wires when he gets home and say, "I pulled these out, you need to replace them, have fun." Actually... it'd be pretty funny to pick up an old wiring harness from a junker just to do that to someone.

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

I'm assuming you've already checked fuses, how about fusible links? The one fusible link I've fried let off a big puff of smoke when it went. If you find a wire that has a "limp" section in it, about an inch long; and it has no continuity, it might be a fusible link. These can be cut out and a new link spliced in. Sorry if this is real basic, but I didn't know anything about them when mine went, thought they could have escaped your attention also.

Do you want to teach me about wiring? If I knew how to do that kind of stuff I would have a lot less apprehension about toying with my bike.
I'm actually looking on Craigslist for a junker/rat bike to work on.
MintBread's signature is "all go, no show" but it's so not true. His bike is HOT as well as fast. We'll see what I end up with
