Rediculous - it seems as tho that HA is actually against peace!!

Reminds me of my catholic school days during the 70's - we couldn't have peace signs on anything - doodles on our notebooks, around our necks, the peace sign button (I think I still have one!) because the nuns called them "broken down crosses".

Yup. Ever since Wal-Mart instituted the "OMG FREE DESKTOP AFTER REBATE EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!!!!11ONE1" the older policy gets temporarily suspended on Black Friday.

I don't have any kids, but how do you parents DEAL with th kids wanting something so expensive and hard to get? I mean, I know you can't give them every gift, but it must break your hearts at their disappointment!

Surely we should all be wishing for Peace in Iraq as soon as possible so as many of our Servicemen and women out there return to us on thier feet and not being carried under a flag?

Hang on, hang on. Even if it were, so what? Isn't freedom of religon enshirned in the American Constituion??? What's next no honica because the Jew's don't acknowledge Jesus Christ as the son of god???

And while we are on the subject. Historical record says that JC was born in the summer, Christianity adapted the closest PAGAN festival when it was colonising Europe - you know midwinter solstice...

Probably. But being a parent isn't all hugs and sunshine. It would be better to sit back and show the child the madness of these people going after a simple product. Include lessons on advertising, commercialism, and the general brainwashing of the American consumer. In simple terms of course, but these are lessons we need to teach our kids. Disappointment is a part of life. As a parent it is your responsibility to combat the brand-loyal consumer buy-now-think-later mentality that corporations force on our children through TV, internet, and local and school advertising and programs.

I am around kids alot, and you have no idea how often when they want such and such product, they generally have no clue as to what it is, how much it costs, what the alternative products in the market are, etc.

Of course, it could also be a good lesson on how to take advantage of mindless consumers by having bought a ps3 preorder and flipping it on ebay. I'm torn as to which lesson would be better.

Well, teaching them the latter will probably teach them about 90% of what goes on wall street.

Anyway, that whole thing is stupid. I hate HOA alot of the time. I lived in a neighborhood, where they made someone take down an american flag, because it was too big (about 6 feet wide).

The whole peace symbol thing, makes the president sound like a raving religious fanatic, who actually has no idea what she's talking about.

It's kinda like the swastika, an incredibly misunderstood symbol, because the nazis used it. It was actually a symbol of purity (which is why the nazis used it for their "pure" race). But now, if you were to wear a symbol of purity, you would get an endless amount of hate from other people, simply because it's misunderstood.
